Jan Pruijn
Jan Pruijn recently served in 4 different technical positions for 6 years at AJAX Cape Town , as a Head of Technical , Assistant – Coach , Interim Head – Coach , and most recently as a Head of Scouting. Jan carries a Full Coaching badge from the Royal Dutch Soccer Federation ( KNVB ) which allows him to coach at any professional level throughout the world. After his semi – professional playing career , he started coaching for De Treffers in 1985. Since then he has had successful coaching careers with professional clubs, including NEC ∧ Helmond Sport.
In the mid 90’s he served as a part – time Coaching – Instructor for the Royal Dutch Soccer Federation. After a short spell as a Youth Academy Director at Al Ain Club in UAE , he became the Manager International Youth Development at AJAX Amsterdam early 1999, where he was responsible for the establishment and organizational structure in the “ AJAX Way “ for the branches in South Africa , Ghana , and Belgium. After 4 years working for them, he travelled a lot throughout the world to discover the most talented young soccer players in combination with conducting coaching – courses , mainly for Grasroots Coaches.
In the same time he visited a lot of Pro – Clubs , like Urawa Reds in Japan , Real Sociedad in Spain , FC Porto in Portugal , FC Basel in Switzerland , Manchester United and Liverpool in England and many more to learn and discuss different ways of Youth Development and Scouting . Before he moved back to AJAX Cape Town , middle of 2008 , he was 2 years a Scout for Everton FC. Today , in his role as a consultant , clinician , and scout he likes to share his incredible insight into team , and individual training across the world. He has a long history and experience in being part of , or running youth academies all over the world. Dutch Touch United will be his first own , more individual based training program for all level of players that starts in the Netherlands.
